2009 DALEM

Drink 2010-2020

The 2009 has the potentiel to be the finest Dalem ever made during my tasting career, eclipsing even their brilliant 2005.

While it is generally a very good, richly fruity, open-knit Fronsac, in 2009, the wine possesses unprecedented levels of density, substance and richness.

A big time sleeper of the vintage, it boasts a deep ruby/purple color, sweet, jammy red and black currant fruit, crushed rock, and spring flower characteristics, soft, silky tannins, good freshness, and a lively, vibrant personality.

Enjoy it over the next decade.

Very dark. Very ripe nose and great fresh intensity. Dry finish but admirable.

Nez séduisant sur des notes de petits fruits rouges et noirs, frais et juteux en bouche, savoureux, long, on lui pardonne facilement la chaleur en fin de bouche. Il peut vieillir.
2012 a 2020.

Robe soutenue, reflets violacés. Nez élégant mariant le fruit mûr à une tonalité boisée torréfiée. En bouche un vin aux tanins serrés, très denses. On retrouve cette qualité aromatique du nez. Gros potentiel, à attendre évidemment.

Belle robe d'un rouge violacé. Nez de fruits mûrs relativement discret. La bouche est également sur le fruit avec une dimension plus gourmande. Un vin harmonieux, sans prétention, privilégiant l'expression fruitée.

We also shared our passion for the wines with  women from South Africa, Japan, Turkey, Switzerland.......
Great moment visiting their wineries like Spottswoode Estate , Harlan, Chappellet, Mondavi (this Winemaker is a French woman),
Château Montelena (Heidi Barret), Dana Estate, Dala Vallee......

It is so reassuring to know that women winemakers are showing each other such support. 

A trip is organised every year in a different country , see you next year in south Africa?

Deep colour with purple blue tints. Elegant on the nose, combining ripe fruit with toasted wood tones. On the palate, closely-woven, extremely dense tannins which is also a feature on the nose. Huge potential, though obviously requires cellaring.

Attractive purplish-blue red. A nose of ripe fruit timid in coming forward. The same fruit-driven mouthfeel though more lip-smacking. A harmonious; straightforward wine, unashamedly fruity.

Suite à un voyage à Pékin, j'ai rencontré une société de production de télévision chinoise qui est venue faire un reportage sur le Château DALEM.

Cette émission, "Voyage à travers l'Europe", est destinée à un public intéressé dans la culture et la tradition européennes. 
Ce programme est diffusé sur 20 chaînes de télévision provinciales ainsi que sur tout le réseau Asiatique (Hong Kong, Thaïlande, Vietnam, Inde, Emirats Arabes Unis, Australie....).

This TV show, "Train Travel in Europe", destined to an audience, addicted to European culture and traditions.
