Attractive purplish-blue red. A nose of ripe fruit timid in coming forward. The same fruit-driven mouthfeel though more lip-smacking. A harmonious, straightforward wine, unashamedly fruity.

The dark ruby color of this 2001 vintage attracts since all his complexes aromas are expressing
through an elegant oak style, hints of vanilla and toasted nevertheless not hiding the red berryfruit
which then appears. The ripe and huge tannins have still to melt; needs two until five years to age.

This château is regurlaly mentioned among the big names of this appellation, that this
excellent vintage puts forward once more a successful outcome. Its black ink color glitters of raspberry
reflects. The aromas of Christmascake, cinnamon harmonize with toasted notes.
On the palate appears forward the fruity taste around a supple and silky structure that comes out with a
good density. Three to five years will be needed to better integration ot the oak.

This property belongs to the same family since the middle of the 19th Century and his vineyard planted
with grape varieties of 95% Merlot and 5% Cabernet-franc is the producer of excellent wines. The
1997 vintage is black colored, ripe fruits on the nose melting in hints of oak and vanilla. The tannic
structure, firm and full-bodied, evolves to a good maturation.
Wait at least two through to three years before to drink.
